This event aims to stimulate the circulation of working artists and works in Quebec and elsewhere in French-speaking territories. ** JOB DESCRIPTION ** Reporting to the Executive Director, the artistic co-director is responsible for advising the latter and the programming committee regarding the orientations of the artistic vision of the music, humor and circus division and to develop artistic projects in order to keep audacity at the heart of its mission. The incumbent will work in collegiality with the programming committee and the artistic co-direction (theater, storytelling and dance pole) to develop a signature artistic offer. Responsibilities: Artistic expertise Advise the general management and the programming committee concerning the orientations to be taken concerning the artistic vision; Monitor cultural events and represent the Théâtre de la Ville within certain organizations and professional groups to ensure the visibility of the Theater in the performing arts ecosystem; Write the texts and documents required under his direction. Programming in music, humor, circus and storytelling Propose to the Theater programming committee a choice of shows in the disciplines under its responsibility, for large and young audiences, in accordance with budgets, the artistic policy of the Theater, the programming strategy and its audience development objectives; If necessary, propose to the programming committee the animation and cultural mediation activities that accompany the various shows in connection with these different disciplines, for large and / or young audiences, in accordance with the mediation plan; Suggest innovative ideas for new projects, among others, co-distribution or co-production projects, in accordance with the human and financial resources of the Theater, to assess the financial stakes and to estimate the risks; • Make the presentation of the shows on stage on the days or evenings of the performance concerning it. Management of human and financial resources Participate in the annual strategic planning and the establishment of the budgets of its direction; Support the general management in the achievement of the annual objectives of the Theater by sitting on the management committee of the Theater as well as on the programming committee; Take into consideration the financial and human resources of the Théâtre de la Ville in the development of artistic projects; Collaborate in the search for funding for artistic disciplines and projects under its direction; Ensure good transmission of information within the Theater team. Job requirements: Training Hold a bachelor's degree or the equivalent, particularly in an artistic discipline or in arts management.
