OPEN AUDITIONS.

The Ballet of Argentine Dances, dependent on the Culture Area of UNICEN, will be holding selection trials for dancers as part of the start of the 2026 cycle.

During 2025, the dance company, founded and directed by Rosana Romano, participated in numerous events and presentations, including the 31st Musical Cultural Meeting and 30th Artisan Fair at the "Rafael Alberto Arrieta" Amphitheater (Rauch), events for the 202nd anniversary of our city, and was part of the "In-Estable" Cycle with an intervention at the University Campus. The UNICEN Ballet also performed in July at the Festival of Indigenous Languages of Latin America, at a peña organized by the IPAT Ballet, at the 40th UNICEN Interfaculty Olympics during the closing of the Dance competition, and at the University Cultural Center Auditorium with the tribute piece to Atahualpa Yupanqui "Esperándote estoy...", with the IPAT Folkloric Ballet as guests.

Since 2025, the Culture Area has worked on an agenda that allowed the regionalization of the Ballet through the management and creation of training and recreational spaces in the Azul, Olavarría, and Tandil venues, in addition to presentations in Quequén. This year, the Culture Area will continue to work on a real extension and traceability of the cultural policies already in motion. The regionalization of the Ballet is part of this work and will also include, during 2026, a series of actions that are already in progress.

Since its inception, the Ballet of Argentine Dances has always encouraged the incorporation of students from all UNICEN faculties, as well as the general community, into its ranks.
