Performing as part of our Ensemble Company on board our newest ship MSC WORLD AMERICA.

One exciting circus arts production show.

Performances run in repertory, and while the venue is a seven-day operation, shows typically perform up to three times nightly, up to twice a week

Illusion Show

Participate at an illusionier within the main house illusion show

Performances run in repertory. The illusion show is performed three times nightly once a week.

You may be required to appear from a confined space/box.

Immersive choreographed activations as part of the Luna Park themed parties.

These are performed late in the evening, typically between 10.30pm and 00:00pm and our circus artists will be involved in one specific themed night during a one-week cruise.

Street Theatre Pop-ups. This includes specifically choreographed circus routines to be performed on the outdoor promenade and special events.

Activations will be planned rehearsed and scheduled across the whole performing company.

Requirements:

Medical and Document Requirements:
All Artists must meet specific safety, medical and vaccination requirements. 
It is the responsibility of all crew member to ensure they have these documents to work on a cruise ship.

A colour copy of passport - Passport valid at least 6 months after end of contract.

STCW’s & Seaman’s Book may be required. (Basic Safety Training, Security Awareness and Crowd & Crisis Management)

Panama Seamans book

Schengen visa/ETIAS (if applicable) to come to rehearsals/ board ship in Europe.

MSC Medical Form duly fulfilled (ENG1/PEME)*

Record of vaccinations**

US Visa - C1D
*MSC will provide the specific PEME forms to be completed by an approved medical practitioner. The statutory national exams of the UK (ENG1), Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Italy, Netherlands, Malta, and China are acceptable if the candidates are normal residents in these countries.

**Record Of Vaccinations:

must include the following childhood-contagious illnesses:

MMR (Measles, Mumps and Rubella) & DTP (Diphtheria, Tetanus & Polio) universal 3-in-1 vaccine (2 doses required or prove immunity)

Varicella (Chicken Pox) – universal (2 doses required or prove immunity)

Yellow Fever, vaccine or proof of immunity.
Any required VISAS will be reimbursed by the ship owner according to their policies. Reimbursements are made once installation on the ship is complete.

9. Language Capability: English at C1 Level.

Travel and Accommodation

Economy flights from nearest gateway airport to our rehearsal facility.

40kg hold baggage allowance.

Transfers from airport to rehearsal facility.

Shared room with shared bathroom during rehearsals

Shared cabin onboard ship

Three meals a day provided at rehearsal facility.

Economy flight to designated home gateway airport at end of contract.

Hours of Work

Working on a ship is a 7 day operation.

Performers work up to 6 consecutive days then a rest day. There will be rare occasions where there will be a need to work more than 6 days but will not exceed 14 consecutive work-days. Notably during cast change periods.

All crew members follow MLC Working Time regulations:

The limits on hours of work or rest shall be as follows:

maximum hours of work shall not exceed:

14 hours in any 24-hour period; and

72 hours in any seven-day period; or

minimum hours of rest shall not be less than:

10 hours in any 24-hour period; and

77 hours in any seven-day period.

Hours of rest may be divided into no more than two periods, one of which shall be at least six hours in length, and the interval between consecutive periods of rest shall not exceed 14 hours.

Please note this is maximum hours allowable and not representational of actual working hours.

Ships responsibilities:
All our artists and show operational team members are Crew Members must comply with all ship rules and Code of Conduct.

As a member of the crew, you will have specific safety related duties. You will be involved in crew & passenger drills, plus all mandatory training and Inductions. All assigned ship duties are mandated by the Ship Master and are compulsory, even if this falls on a scheduled ‘day off’.
