Description:Esh Circus Arts is the Boston Area's home for high-quality circus instruction! We offer classes for adult and youth students in a wide range of aerial and ground-based circus arts. Our vibrant, inclusive community of students, coaches, and circus professionals has been growing since 2010 and is going strong!Esh is seeking a Aerial Team Leader to join our team of dedicated circus educators. The position is 25 hours per week, half of which will be spent coaching adult recreational classes and half of which will be spent on curriculum development, staff training and assessment, and other duties in the studio. Additional private lesson teaching hours are available if desired. The ideal candidate will be adept at coaching at least two of the following disciplines, including at least one aerial discipline: Aerial hoop/lyra beginner-advanced Aerial rope intermediate-advanced Aerial silks beginner-advanced Trapeze intermediate-advanced Handbalancing beginner-intermediate Partner acro/Hand-to-hand intermediate-advanced The ideal candidate will also have most or all of the following: At least 5 years of circus coaching experience with adult students including technical instruction, choreography/act development, and performance skills Solid understanding of functional anatomy as it relates to aerial movement At least one year of experience training teachers to teach circus or other movement disciplines Experience leading a team, providing guidance and constructive feedback Positive attitude and sincere enjoyment of their work Clear written and verbal communication skills Excellent time management skills Curriculum development experience a plus Project management, event, or theatrical production experience a plus Experience with and desire to work with youth students a plus Esh offers very competitive hourly pay with employee status, free access to training space, continuing education opportunities, and a supportive, stable work environment.
