Aerial & Circus Arts Instructor (Silks)

Intown Stars coaches are responsible for leading their classes/groups of students weekly throughout each season and using a mix of provided curriculum and training and their creativity to challenge and grow each student to continued progression in their Aerial skills.
Necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Previous experience as an Aerial instructor, and a background in circus or gymnastics/acrobatics training.
Enthusiasm for teaching Aerial classes, and a high-energy, charismatic teaching style.
Ability to develop and implement a unique conditioning curriculum grounded in the circus arts.
An ability to teach children and adult recreational students, including aspiring professionals.
Comfort working as part of a team.
Desired Skills and Certifications:
Preferred knowledge and ability to teach Circus Arts
Excellent verbal communication skills
Positive, energetic, cheerful attitude with staff, athletes, and parents
Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
First Aid and CPR certified, or willing to obtain within 60 days of hire
Must have a passion for Circus Arts and a love for children
Experience and Qualifications:
The successful candidate must have previous experience as a Silks instructor or performer.
Must have at least 1 year of experience working with children in a teaching or care setting.
If you are 14 or 15 yrs of age, you must have a work permit or willing to obtain one, and have reliable transportation.
Necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Ability to plan, organize, direct, lead, and troubleshoot daily operations, services, and safety of the recreation program.
Knowledge and physical ability to teach high quality aerial silks classes.
Ability to work with a growing recreation program and participate in collaborative activities to enhance the quality of the program and build the business.
Ability to communicate effectively with parents and students, as well as coworkers, supervisor, and Director.
You must have the physical capacity to be on your feet throughout full 3-6 hours shifts and the strength required to provide spotting to students as needed per the level/skills you will coach.

Schedule requirements:
Weekday availability between 3 pm and 7:30 pm
Weekend availability between 9 am and 2 pm
