The L'Enclos company is a contemporary theater company that was created in 2019 following the meeting between Mariana and Sandra.
After working together for 5 years and creating the company's first two plays: "Do you remember the day I cut my hair?" and "I'm 17 forever", their paths separated and Sandra took over the artistic direction of the L'Enclos Company alone.
The company's creations attempt to respond to contemporary issues that can be found in our modern societies through personal writing or through contemporary authors.
"Do you remember the day I cut my hair", a family show, focuses on the theme of gender equality.
"I'm 17 forever" is a text written by Jacques Descorde that tells the story of adolescence in search of a reference point, left to its own devices, and the importance of friendship as a way out.
Alongside creation, the Company is very interested in setting up mediation actions to anchor its ideas in our reality, to make its creations a civic commitment, to use theatre as a tool for development and liberation of consciences.
Job Description
The company is looking for an actress to reprise the role of Adèle in its second creation "I'm 17 forever".
The story:
Stella and Adèle, two 17-year-old friends, spend yet another night perched on the roof of their building. Stella no longer speaks to her father following the death of her mother. Adèle has been waiting for several days for news from her boyfriend who ran away from home. Obsessed by their personal concerns, the two girls spend nights together dreaming of a better life. They invent stories about the lives of the people they see through the still-lit windows and balconies of the buildings opposite. They make fun of the despair of others so as not to think about the fragility of their own stories. But this night will be different. This night will mark the end of their childhood and will no longer allow them to escape their destinies.
