The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching acting techniques specifically for screen acting, guiding students through the process of creating and filming short films, and educating them on various aspects of film production including camera angles and shot lists. Working Hours: Saturdays Age 8 to 11 (School Year 4 to 6): 11:45 AM - 1:15 PM Age 11 to 15 (School Year 7 to 9): 1:30 PM - 3:00 PM Hourly Rate: £25-30 per hour depending on experience Location: London North Film Studios, Mill Hill, NW7 1RP Benefits: Be part of a dynamic team passionate about film and education. Ongoing professional development opportunities. Job Requirements Proven experience in acting, specifically for screen, with a strong portfolio of work. Previous teaching experience, particularly with children aged 8 to 15, is highly desirable. In-depth knowledge of acting techniques, film production processes, and technical aspects of filmmaking. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to inspire and motivate young students. Strong organisational and time-management skills. A relevant degree or professional qualification in acting, drama, or film is preferred. A DBS check will be required for the successful candidate. Job Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging and educational acting for screen classes for children aged 8 to 15. Teach fundamental and advanced acting techniques tailored for screen performance. Assist students in the creation and filming of short films, ensuring they understand the entire production process. Educate students on the technical aspects of filmmaking, including different camera angles, shot lists, and framing. Provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve their skills and build confidence. Foster a supportive and creative learning environment. Collaborate with other staff members and participate in regular team meetings. Ensure all activities are conducted safely and in accordance with studio guidelines.
