Uillinn: West Cork Arts Centre invites dance artists, choreographers, and companies to submit expressions of interest for a studio residency program scheduled for 2027. This unique opportunity provides a dedicated environment for artistic exploration and development, guiding work from initial concept through to performance. The program fosters interaction with fellow resident artists, exhibiting creators, the public, and the distinctive local community in a rural setting. The residency offers comprehensive practical support, including access to a fully equipped, accessible 56-square-meter dance studio located on Level 3. The studio features a sprung wooden floor, marley, mirrors, barre, and a sound system. Residents benefit from key holder privileges, Wi-Fi, and both technical and administrative assistance. A changing room with a shower is conveniently available on Level 4, and flexible evening and weekend access can be arranged. Please note that this is a non-accommodation residency and does not include a stipend. Artists are strongly encouraged to secure external funding for travel, accommodation, and living expenses from their respective Arts Councils or Local Authorities. Proposals that demonstrate a strong commitment to public engagement and relevance to the venue's location and facilities are given priority. Applicants are also encouraged to consider the institution's climate-action and sustainable-practice goals within their proposals.
