Description:
Circa Academy is seeking a skilled and motivated Lead Aerials Coach for a six-month maternity cover.
This role leads delivery of the aerial program, teaching aerial skills overseeing student progressing, and performance development.
The successful candidate will bring a strong understanding of aerial techniques, safety practices and a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive studio culture.

Requirements:
Skills and Expertise:
* Aerial Proficiency: Expert knowledge and teaching experience in Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced levels for Trapeze, Lyra, and Silks.
* Additional Apparatus Knowledge: Familiarity with Aerial Straps, Loops, Duo Trapeze, and Rope is beneficial.
* Technical Instruction: Ability to teach and demonstrate foundational to advanced techniques across multiple aerial disciplines.

Key Responsibilities
Coaching and Instruction:
* Provide expert coaching in aerial skills, techniques, and choreography.
* Conduct group training sessions with a focus on skill refinement, strength, flexibility, community, and creativity.
* Demonstrating, communicating, supporting and spotting skills
Administrative Duties:
* Adapt lesson plans in alignment with the Academy Syllabus and maintain term folders for organized instruction.
* Liaise with the Head of Academy and other staff regarding the continuing quality of classes and the working environment for all staff.
* Communicate with students regarding their progress, program suitability, cross-training opportunities, and injury prevention.
Student Assessment:
* Evaluate students' strengths and weaknesses through regular informal progress tracking and assessments.
* Set measurable goals for each student to guide their development.
Performance Preparation:
* Prepare students for performances, including routine development and mental preparation.
* Contribute to the coordination of in-house and external performance logistics.
* Work creatively with the Head of Academy to develop original artistic pieces.
Collaboration with Support Staff:
* Work closely with casual staff and the Head of Academy to support individual student development.
* Engage with the Head of Academy for injury prevention and rehabilitation strategies to ensure student well-being.

The role is based in Brisbane, Australia
The role is a 6-month Maternity Leave Cover
Employment Basis: Part-Time
Work on weekends and outside hours will be necessary
