About the Role 

Spiegelworld is looking for an Assistant Production Manager to join the team at Absinthe at Caesars Palace. This position is responsible for providing support to the Production team and the technical crew. This position reports directly to the Production Manager.  This is a salaried, full-time position that earns $75,920 /year. 

Responsibilities 

Identify projects and ongoing improvements in collaboration with the Production Manager and Technical Director
Actively engage in our antiracist commitment and internal practices by participating in offered learnings, engaging in conversations around Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Accessibility, and helping us maintain a safe and welcoming workspace.
Being available to answer show related questions while the PM and TD are not on site* 
Ensuring adherence to policies and procedures, setting the standard for excellence in the venue.* 
Being visible in the operation, actively collaborating with daily operations. 
Maintaining proper documentation of vendors and ongoing site occurrences. 
Understanding and being across all major site systems, internet, security equipment, access and safety. 
Identifying site projects and ongoing improvements in collaboration with the Production Manager 
Tracking inventory and notifying the Production Manager of any orders that are needed
Performing open and closing procedures. 
Basic understanding and troubleshooting capabilities with temporary worksite equipment ie: container offices, and trailers, HVAC, and electrical. 
Other duties as required. 

We will upskill anyone in this position in regards to show operation and safety standards to be able to make them comfortable with answering questions during shows. They will primarily train with the Production Manager in regards to show calls, opening/closing the site, interaction with show managers and artists. They will train with the Technical Director on work calls for brake release training and aerial rescue plans.

Requirements:

What You Bring 

Bachelor's Degree or 3-5 years of experience in technical theatre 
Ability to lift 50lbs, ability to stand for long periods of time, able to work outdoors 
Comfortable working at heights, basic power tool knowledge, comfortable being in an indoor and outdoor environment, light electrical knowledge 
Technical knowledge in theatrical audio, lighting, and rigging equipment 
Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google suite
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills 
Must be team-oriented and self-motivated 
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in an always changing, never dull, creative environment 
Passion for ensuring you deliver the highest standards consistently 
Comfortable improvising in the moment as part of the constantly changing environment
Able to work a flexible schedule with the ability to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays 
Must maintain proper safety and sanitation standards 
Must have valid work authorization for the US 
Successful background check clearance prior to hire
OSHA 30 
Scissor Lift Certification
