Initiation au Clown s’adresse à toutes personnes qui ont un intérêt pour le jeu clownesque et qui souhaitent s’initier à la Méthode Francine Côté, mais qui ont peu ou pas de formation ni d’expériences professionnelles en théâtre, cirque ou danse.
À travers une série d’exercices de base en théâtre physique, les participants seront amenés à développer une meilleure conscience corporelle, leur ouverture, leur plaisir de jouer, leur créativité, leur écoute émotive, de soi et du public, tout en apprenant à utiliser les techniques de jeu spécifiques à l’art clownesque: regard public, point fixe, rythme, émotion/mouvement/texte, etc. Ces exercices leur permettront d’amorcer une recherche de personnage clownesque à partir de soi. L’enseignant s’adapte aux besoins et au niveau de chacun des participants. Le stage se déroule dans un climat de confiance et de légèreté.

Initiation to Clown is for anyone who has an interest in clowning and would like to be introduced to the Francine Côté Method, but who has little or no training or professional experience in theatre, circus or dance.
Through a series of basic physical theatre exercises, participants will develop a better body awareness, their openness, their pleasure in performing, their creativity, their emotional listening, both to themselves and to the audience, while learning to use the specific acting techniques of the art of clowning: public gaze, fixed point, rhythm, emotion/movement/text, etc. These exercises will enable them to start a search for a clownish character from within themselves. The teacher adapts to the needs and level of each participant. The workshop takes place in a climate of confidence and lightness.
