The Cultural Activities of the Student Service of the University of Montreal are recruiting!

We are looking for a manager for the Urban Jazz workshop
this year. We are looking for a person with
teaching experience and dance training to transmit the concepts and
exercises to a group of 15 people in person, while
respecting the description of the workshop, namely:

A very dynamic “pop” dance which is inspired and accompanied by
current popular music , urban jazz incorporates choreography associated with
dance video clips, Videostyle and Urban Contemporary .

The workshop,
based on the learning of choreographic movements, also presents
techniques of jazz, modern dance and contemporary dance to
improve body alignment, muscle strengthening,
flexibility, fluidity and coordination. The choreographies are
designed for an intermediate level, but the workshop is open to anyone,
regardless of experience.

Regular participation in the workshop will allow you to learn to:

Discover the language of urban jazz dance with pleasure and with respect for one's own abilities
Acquire a better body awareness and develop an ease and efficiency in performing precise movements
Improve your
ability to move in a harmonious way, by integrating different
qualities of movement (fluid, jerky, fast, slow, aerial, anchored in
the ground, dynamic, soft)
To be able to visit different physical qualities in the interpretation of his dance
This job is paid.

Prerequisite: Have a minimum of 2 years of experience teaching dance to a beginner and intermediate group.

Planned schedule : Thursday evenings from September 30, 2021 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Location: Espace 215, 215 Rue Jean-Talon Ouest, 5 min walk from Parc metro
