Partnerships, Participation and People w/ Ali Williams - Performing Arts Events - StageLync
This session is aimed at individuals and companies from multiple artforms (Circus, Dance, Theatre, Carnival) that wish to make for or transfer work to the outdoors. Ali will focus on do’s and don’ts of making work for outdoor audiences with and without participatory elements, how to create the right partnerships, and access commissions and other funding.

Ali Williams Founder and Creative Director of NoFit State for 30 years, Ali’s experience combines producing large-scale, high profile performance and events for tents, theatres and outdoors; creating collaborations between artists and communities; and developing ways of delivering meaningful and accessible art to diverse audiences. As Creative Producer for NoFit State her portfolio includes Sci-Circus, ImMortal, Parklife, Barricade, Open House and BLOCK. Alongside productions Ali supports and mentors emerging and established companies and is known for nurturing and developing young talent and using circus as a social tool.

This session is part of the Transitions Project, a circus artist and teacher development programme, run by NoFit State Circus and funded by the Arts Council of Wales.

Masterclasses are open to all UK circus professionals and cost £15 to attend. Thanks to the support of the Arts Council of Wales, Welsh-based practitioners can attend sessions for free. Evidence of your link to Wales may be requested after booking.
