Life & times of Grimaldi: Clerkenwell's King of Clowns walk - Performing Arts Events - StageLync
In this one-hour walk, guide and local historian Jiff Bayliss will tell the story of the Joseph Grimaldi (1778-1837), the Clerkenwell King of Clowns. Hailed as the father of modern clowning, Grimaldi became a huge celebrity and spent much of his life both performing and living in Clerkenwell. The tour will include his local home and final resting place.

Presented by Clerkenwell and Islington Guides' Association in partnership with Islington Library and Heritage Services.
