International Market of Contemporary Circus - Performing Arts Events - StageLync

Since 2015, TOHU and the MONTRÉAL COMPLÈTEMENT CiRQUE Festival have welcomed artists, presenters, and circus professionals from around the world to experience the magical live performance of the July Festival and engage in professional development, network, and marketplace activities through the MICC (Marché International de cirque contemporain).

Starting in July 2020, in the COVID context, the MICC will take on a digital dimension by offering online programming during its Market days (July 6-9). Following this launch period, with a goal of facilitating long-term connection, dialogue, and collaboration in our sector, the MICC Online will continue as an ongoing platform, featuring regular (monthly) online programming such as pitch sessions, working group meetings, and more.

Please click here to join the new MICC Network, a global community dedicated to the creation, presentation, and touring of contemporary circus in North America and around the world. Membership is free until December 2020, and includes access to the July program.

---

The MICC Market constitutes North America’s most important single-discipline professional encounter for the field of contemporary circus, offering North American, European, and other international presenters from all disciplines a one-stop research opportunity to discover and connect with touring artists and works from Canada and around the world.

MICC goals are to:
▪ Support and promote the development of circus arts on the international scene.
▪ Encourage artist-presenter encounters, discussions, and opportunities.
▪ Develop a North American network for the presentation and touring of contemporary circus.
▪ Raise the profile of creative artists in Canada.
