Free 2 hour Intro to Fire Arts Course - Performing Arts Events - StageLync
This intro course of the art of flame is offered at the outdoor site of TOHU Circus at 2345 Rue Jarry E, Montreal, QC.

The first hour is FIRE FREE and will be given by an expert instructors in the subject taught. We always provide the required tools to the students.

The second hour will be led by firefighters in training and / or pyrotechnicians recognized in Canada to teach the security rules related to the artistic disciplines of the fire arts .


BREAKDOWN OF CLASSES
Mastery of the fire tools, without fire, accompanied the instructor (1h).

Introduction to security / professional rules. We initiate new concepts and security rules used in fire arts (30min).

Practice safety measures new students would apply in case of accident (eg put out the fire using fire blankets) (15min).

Introduction to fire and its principles: the new students learn how fire reacts to certain constraints and learn to master it (15min).


Five disciplines are offered for the 2018 season:

POI
The art of fire poi is to spin or intermix then unravel a pair poi. Among the arts of fire, it is one in which a permanent move is required.

STAFF
The art of fire staff is to control the movement of a stick. According styles, the focus can be on the handling and launch or on the body contact with the stick.

ROPE DART
The art of rope-dart of a Chinese martial art which derives a blade is attached to the end of a rope. One end generating flames or sparks allows to occupy the stage at various amplitude and speed of movements.

DANCING WITH FIRE
The art of fire dancing is to gracefully handle small tools like fans, fingers or fire bracelets in a choreographed movement.

FIRE BREATHING
The art of fire breathing is to generate and control a fireball. Of all the arts of fire, it is the only one where the body of the artist is the apparatus. As such, it is the most dangerous.
