FlowVID-19 Charity Stream - Performing Arts Events - StageLync

FlowVID-19 is an online charity event organized within the circus and fire-spinning community that will be live this weekend, April 11th-12th. This will feature over twenty hours of live-streamed workshops and performances from circus artists from across the world, with 100% of the money raised going directly to the teachers themselves. The applicants who were accepted to teach were those who were hit the hardest by this crisis and now find themselves unexpectedly without any source of income. Full-time performers and instructors have had virtually all their contracts and classes cancelled, leaving many in particularly perilous situations.

This event, quickly organized over the past two weeks by two members of the community, has gone ‘viral’ (pun intended) within the performance community, already with well over 1,500 members of the circus arts community worldwide planning to tune in live over the weekend. Most of the content will be live workshops, covering a wide variety of skills from prop spinning, fire safety, performance makeup, and even DIY-prop building. There will also be never-before-seen performance videos graciously donated from other artists (including from a performer in Cirque du Soleil!)

Anyone can tune in at Twitch.tv/flowvid19, from 12pm-11pm EST. All the event information can be found on the Facebook Event Page, https://www.facebook.com/events/519445428981705. While all the content is free to view, they are asking for a suggested donation of $5 per hour-long workshop for those with the means to do so. There will also be professional-quality items up for raffle, and bonus performances unlocked based on donation incentives. Everyone is excited to share their art, both to their friends and colleagues as well as anyone new to the community and interested in learning more!
