Intro to Fire Spinning and Safety – w/Fenix & Melissa
Thursdays, April 6-27, 6:45 – 7:45pm
In this four weeks workshop, students will learn to use a variety of different fire props and about the safe handling of them. In addition to hands-on time with props, we will cover topics including the duties of the fire safety, burn first aid, fuel types and proper storage/care for equipment. Students will get first hand experience performing with fire solo and in groups as well as extinguishing lit props as they begin their journey into the fire arts. PSCA will supply the fire props for this class, however students are permitted and encouraged to bring their own equipment.
Cost: $180
includes equipment fee of $20 to cover fuel costs and wick degradation.

Attendance on the first day is mandatory. If you have already signed up and are absent on the first day of the workshop, you will be unenrolled and refunded.

Fire Performance – w/Fenix & Melissa
Thursdays, April 6-27, 7:45 – 8:45pm
Fire Performance is a four week workshop in which students will continue to develop their proficiency with their chosen prop and, optionally, learn fire eating and/or breathing. During this course students will create choreography with their prop(s) of choice and upon completion, be eligible to join the Fire Performance Troupe and perform at PSCA events. Students are required to have completed Intro to Fire Spinning and Safety or have permission from the instructor before taking Fire Performance.. Ages 18+
Equipment & Prerequisites:
Students are required to bring their own props and white gas for this workshop. Anyone wishing to learn fire breathing who is uncomfortable sharing a bottle should bring their own metal bottle.
