Festival 2018 – Big Top on Glasgow Green ^expired Free

12 days of contemporary circus on Glasgow Green, as part of Festival 2018, the cultural programme alongside the inaugural European Championships hosted by Glasgow and Berlin. A 500 seater big top showcased work programmed by Glasgow’s annual street arts platform Merchant City Festival. The programme included free performances from Glasgow’s Aerial Edge, alongside Mimbre (The Exploded Circus); Extraordinary Bodies (What Am I Worth); Catalan award winning company EIA(InTarsi); and Circo Rum BaBa (the Crow House). As part of the family offer Go Live! At the Green, these companies played to capacity audiences, totalling over 8000 across the festival, many of whom had not experienced contemporary circus before.
