EXHIBITION: A Clown walks into a gallery… - Performing Arts Events - StageLync
A Clown walks into a gallery…is a group exhibition in two parts.

Part 1: Luke Stephenson | Helen Champion. As part of the collection held by the Clowns’ Gallery-Museum is a group of over two hundred and fifty hand painted eggs. These eggs record the painted faces of members of Clowns International and act as a form of copyright register for Clowns. The Grundy will present a selection of Luke’s photographs and Helen’s texts alongside examples of the eggs that they feature.

Part 2: Janice Kerbel, Laura Lancaster, Philip Newcombe, PilviTakala and Ulla von Brandenburg.Five internationally recognised contemporary artists whose works reference the act of performance, the role of disguise and the line between fiction and fact.

Exhibitions continue 17 July – 8 September Exhibitions open Tues-Sat 10am – 5pm (Last entry 4.40pm). Closed Sundays and Mondays.
