Drawing Course – Julie Brazil - Performing Arts Events - StageLync
Many artists depicted circus scenes as they sat in the audience, rapidly sketching. Jack B. Yeats used his sketchbooks like a diary to record his experiences.
Artist Julie Brazil will lead this intensive two-day course, which will focus on using drawing and sketching to observe life and to improve skills. Based in the Millennium Wing Studio, the course will feature an exclusive behind-the-scenes visit to the Gallery's Yeats Archive to view Jack's rarely-seen sketchbooks, and a curator’s tour of Circus250: Art of the Show.
Participants will also visit the Gallery's ESB Centre for the Study of Irish Artto view sketches by William Orpen and other prominent artists, and take part in an outdoor drawing session.
All materials are provided. Tickets €170.
Please note: This course is limited to 12 participants.
