Circus Summer School with RoguePlay ^expired Free

Our circus summer schools are aimed at young people from 7-16 years who may or may not have had aerial experience before.

​The school introduces young people to a range of aerial and ground based circus skills including aerial silks, static trapeze, aerial hoop, acrobalance and acrobatics.

It allows everyone to try each piece of kit and have a go at all the different disciplines. They will then be asked to choose one aerial piece in particular, which they then work on for the rest of the school days as well as in acrobalance, acrobatics and where circus theatre pieces are involved, physical theatre. The school culminates with a sharing for friends and family, celebrating the achievements of the young people over their time. They all receive a certificate of participation and parents are invited to take photos. (PLEASE NOTE: Sharing takes place @ 2.30pm on 10th August, so if your child is involved in the first week only, they will not be involved in the sharing event. They still receive a certificate of participation)

Throughout the weeks the young people will work with experienced artists from RoguePlay's professionals performance team, in a safe environment to not only develop aerial skills but also to improve confidence, flexibility, strength and creativity, whilst allowing the young people to develop their own creative ideas.
