Circus dramaturgy Workshop - Performing Arts Events - StageLync
Circus dramaturgy workshop | Reading Circus
with Franziska Trapp

“Those who are able to read their own performances can also make decisions during the creation process more consciously.”

" How can the analysis of performances be used as a tool during the creation process? "

The feedback method Reading Circus was developed in the context of the research project Zirkus | Wissenschaft at the University of Münster in cooperation with contemporary circus artists. Based on the analysis of work-in-progress presentations, it provides a tool for creating an empowering, stimulating, and creative work environment during training and creation. The main focus thereby lies on the entanglement of bodily practice and cultural discourse, that can be considered as a specific characteristic of contemporary circus performances.

The workshop will be held in English and will take place in Torino (Italy) at Progetto Slip, Corso Giulio Cesare 338 50/D
April 20-21
10.00-17.00
