CIRCollaborative Tools Call for Contemporary Circus Artists - Performing Arts Events - StageLync
CIRCollaborative Tools is a European project that brings together 9 partners from the contemporary circus field and the digital field in 2017-2019: La Grainerie (France), La Central del Circ (Spain), Cirqueon (Czech Republic), Festival Circolo (the Netherlands), Ideagorà (Italy), Espace Catastrophe (Belgium), Arts Printing House (Lithuania), Ekito (France), The Hungarian Juggling Association - MZSE (Hungary). The project aims to develop collaborative work and the use of digital tools in the circus professional practices and in the artistic field through action-training workshop sessions and full-scale experiments.

One of the goals of the CIRCollaborative Tools project is to experiment digital collaborative tools (shared files, Trello, Slack, remote work applications, open white boards, etc.) during the artistic creation and research process. To do this, two artistic research laboratories (Labs) will be organised in 2018:

● from July 23rd to 27th in Arts Printing House in Vilnius (Lithuania)

● from August 20th to 24th in Cirqueon in Prague (Czech Republic)

Travels, accommodation and food are covered by the project within the limits of the Eramus+ unit costs.

Each Lab will involve 12 artists. Each artist will participate in only one Lab, and can apply to one or both, according to his/her availability. The presence is required during the 5 full days of the Lab, arriving the night before the beginning of the Lab, and leaving after the end of the last day of work.

The participants should apply as individual artists. They can be professionals as well as circus school students.

They should be based in France, Spain, Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Italy, Belgium, Lithuania or Hungary.

The circus disciplines represented in the Labs will depend on the technical conditions of the hosting venues and on the composition of the groups of participants.

Participants should be able to understand and express themselves in English, and be interested in using digital and collaborative tools in the development of their artistic work methods.
