Celebrate World Circus Day with CircusTalk Online! - Performing Arts Events - StageLync
You are invited to celebrate World Circus Day with CircusTalk online!

* Please join this event below.*

Although the World Circus Federation had to cancel the live circus performances and gatherings for this annual circus holiday, we wanted to offer this event as a way to stay connected during World Circus Day 2020 on Saturday, April 18th. Today we celebrate separately...together!

HOW DOES IT WORK?
You know the drill by now! This event will be taking place on Zoom where we will be recording and moderating you doing your safe home-adapted circus skills live with famous ringmaster, Johnathan Lee Iverson, to guide the way. There will be opportunities to share your messages of hope as well as the challenges you have experienced circusing from home!

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
First and foremost, SAFETY!
Show us your new trick!
A personal/inspirational/etc. message to the circus community
Home-adapted circus skills
Share resources in the chat area
Home-adapted circus acts

To ensure the event runs smoothly, and all technology is working as it should, please read the following notes on Zoom etiquette and features.

ZOOM FEATURES:
If you have not done so already, you will need to download the Zoom application on your computer or phone.
Your mic will be muted when you enter “World Circus Day with CircusTalk Online” and when you are not being spoken to by the moderator. The moderator will turn your mic on for you to reply to a question.
If you have an important response you’d like to add to a discussion, please raise your hand in the chat area (click Participants at the bottom of the Zoom window - in the chat window, click Raise Hand at the bottom of the screen) or type the question in the chat window to let the moderator know you’d like to reply or discuss something. The moderators will try to reply but due to the amount of participants, it may not be possible to reply to everyone.
There is a limited amount of participants allowed per Zoom event, so attendance is first come, first serve.

RULES:

Only perform circus skills that you have mastered and safely adapted for the environment.

This is not a self-promotional event -- please refrain from pitching us your act, show, company or product.

Please arrive at the event 2 to 5 minutes early to give yourself time to test out your mic and camera.

This is an all-ages event to celebrate circus and rude comments or behavior will not be tolerated. You will be kicked out of the meeting at first offense. Please be respectful of everyone.

The ‘room’ will be locked 5 minutes after the event begins to prevent intruders and disruptions to the flow of conversation/activity. Again, arrive early!

By entering the Zoom event you accept all the rules of this event and will not hold CircusTalk liable for any mishaps.

By entering the Zoom event you accept that the event will be recorded and give consent for the recording in full or edited mode to be published online.
