BikeLights 2018 – FLYING CIRCUS! - Performing Arts Events - StageLync
This magical, much-loved and wonderfully inclusive illuminated, bicycle-based parade for all ages takes place at dusk on Saturday 13th October in Wadebridge in North Cornwall, UK, celebrating the 250th anniversary of Circus by choosing ‘FLYING CIRCUS!’ as this year’s theme.

Alongside the imaginative bike-based creations produced by schools & families, members of the elderly community and local groups for this the fifth annual BikeLights, a specially-commissioned team of visual artists, sound artists and circus artists from Wadebridge and the wider South West region will also be revealing their unique illuminated designs inspired by this wonderful and highly visual art form to wow and entertain the crowds.

The parade will travel through the streets and across the bridges of Wadebridge, closing with a special fire- and circus-based event with MCs and a lap of honour for the larger creations.

This year’s BikeLights is delighted to have been granted Arts Council England and FEAST funding, as well as very valued local sponsorship and community support, to enhance the event’s artistic impact and help develop its community participation & engagement.
