Inspired by the astonishing acts, activities and acrobats that made Astley’s original circus so famous across the globe, AstleyFest brings the circus home to Newcastle-under-Lyme to celebrate the man who first made it happen over 250 years ago, giving thousands of people the chance to enjoy a free and fabulous fun day out. Includes Roll Up, Roll Up – an exciting community performance, developed and delivered by New Vic Theatre and The Philip Astley Project, celebrating the legacy of local hero Astley.
