Aerial Nerd Conference - Performing Arts Events - StageLync
CALLING ALL AERIAL NERDS!! Let’s unite online or in person for the Aerial Nerd Conference to explore deeper levels of aerial together. If your brain is working harder than your body, it just might be a theory-thing. We’ll put things into categories, find ways to compare and contrast, and build webs of connections and transitions. If you can count it, name it, analyze it, break it down, we just may study it here!

Get ready to work your brain from the comfort of your home or in person in Castle Rock, Colorado. Our special guests this year include a phenomenal line-up of Dream Frohe, Molly Graves, Sofia Rodriguez, and Michele Frances for workshops on silks, rope, sling, and lyra!

We look forward to getting nerdy with you! :)

WHEN: Oct. 1-3 and 8-10, 2020. All times listed below are in Mountain Standard Time (MST) as we are broadcasting from Colorado, USA.

WHERE: Online or in person.

ONLINE: You will be sent a zoom link upon registration. Click that link at the time of class (MST) to join. A recording will also be sent to everyone who registers and it will be available for 2 weeks after the workshop (free workshops will not be recorded). Warm-ups will be brief, so please come warm & ready to move OR have your aerial barbie ready to work out the skills for you.
To better understand the mechanics or theory of the material taught, here are some suggestions to participate:
1. If you have access to a safe aerial apparatus, please use it.
2. Use an aerial barbie
3. Have something to experiment with skills in some way -- fabric, sling, or even jeans hung over a doorway that isn't weighted.
4. Just watch and take notes!

IN PERSON: At AerialWorks in Castlerock, Colorado. The live classes are limited to 6 people each. Please note that the instructor will be addressing both the live participants AND the audience on zoom. It may help to have your laptop handy at the studio so you can connect to the remote attendees as well.
