'Anatomy of the Air': A Bodyworks Intensive - Performing Arts Events - StageLync
A 3-DAY PROGRAMME BASED ON SKILL DEVELOPMENT, POSTURAL ASSESSMENT, INJURY PREVENTION AND SELF & PARTNER REMEDIAL MASSAGE.

Designed for teachers and higher level students who are keen to develop their higher level skill set whilst learning about the muscular and skeletal systems of the body. The course will help you gain more understanding of the strains on muscles, connective tissue and fascia in aerial practice, highlighting and improving areas of weakness and gaining the ability to assess yourself and self massage. All delivered through looking at skill development and higher level movements, such as side planche, various roll ups and dislocs, whilst understanding the strains during these moves and building up to them safely. The course provides building blocks for safe conditioning and drills that are stepping stones to greater strength, mobility and stabilisation to achieve a higher level of skill, and support your own students safely.

The course is primarily based on the verticals; silk, rope and straps, and delivered by both Kim Charnock and Adrian Thomas.

The intensive is extremely practical and hands on, working aerially for both the skills training and bodywork elements alike. Participants all receive a certificate of participation to show how many hours training they have engaged in and the work covered.

The course is suitable for all those training or teaching in the aerial arts, with at least 2 years aerial practice experience.
