About
Balance For Earth is a live manifestation of Gaia - the Earth as a living being. As funambules and aerialists we seek to embody the physical resistance to gravity as an expression of our human condition in need of balance for earth. With both beauty and grotesque through risk and courage, Balance For Earth is a live poem, a manifest of change for society in a late cyber-capitalism stage, a genuine attempt to connect on a deep level of empathy with the audience for Gaia. Through our vocabulary of movement we write ephemeral verses in the atmosphere, sometimes sky-high, of ink made of our own flesh and blood.
This is a 60 minute show of 4 acts, each 15 minutes with 1 performer per act.
Act 1 [Gaia's Birth]: silks aerialist
Act 2 [Gaia's Song]: 1st rope acrobat plays guitar and sings while he walks with a flag of the earth.
Act 3 [Gaia's Justice]: 2nd blind-folded rope acrobat walking.
Act 4 [Gaia's Dance]: 3rd rope acrobat final act performing freestyle tricks and stunts
