I’m Zoe Schubert,
A British national with German and Ugandan ethnic heritage. After exploring various athletic pursuits in my early years, I found my true calling in gymnastics, specifically in sports acrobatics. The sense of teamwork and reliance on trust within this sport resonated deeply within me, and thus over the years with lots of hard work, patience and dedication I was able to compete nationally and internationally. In 2018, I represented Great Britain and obtained a silver medal for my country at the World Championships in Antwerp.
Subsequently, after my achievements in sports acrobatics I sought a new challenge and discovered the world of circus, enrolling in ‘The National Centre for Circus Arts’ in London. Here, I found my passion for aerial straps, a solo discipline that pushed me to develop my skill set independently and with a deep love for this discipline, I decided to continue my education at ‘École Nationale de Cirque in Montreal’ where I would advance my proficiency as an aerialist and finally graduate in 2023.
In addition to my aerial skills, I continue to hone my acrobatic skills through training as both a base and a flyer for banquine and hand to hand. Beyond performing , I immerse myself in the world of fashion and find joy in creating, sewing unique clothes and costumes that I can use in my performances. My creations tend to be bright, bold and colourful as they are my own form of self expression and an extension of me ! I find pleasure in being able to blend these two universes together and create work that is signature to me.
