Zahara Thomas

I discovered my passion for aerial arts when I was in college and signed up for a silks class. My university had an aerial training program, and with a background in competitive gymnastics and cheerleading, I learned a lot very quickly and became a teaching assistant for the program. I also began to perform professionally at local and school events. During this time I also completed a degree in English Rhetoric, and cheered professionally in the NFL for the New Orleans Saints. I moved to Florida a few years ago to work in entertainment for Disney, but soon decided to focus on training aerial and pursuing a career as an aerial performer. I currently coach gymnastics and teach aerial classes for both children and adults. I specialize in silks, lyra, and hammock, but I also am able to pick up other apparatuses very quickly (i.e. Spanish web, cube, trapeze).
