Sorcha Lockyer

Hello, I am Sorcha Lockyer a BA graduate from National Centre for Circus Arts. I got into circus after a foundation year at East15 acting school. My original plan was all about acting, I’ve been a performer since I was 6, taking part in pantomimes and dance festivals. Meanwhile I was a training gymnast at Olga gymnastics club and finished my training there when I was 14. I wanted to pursue other types of performance so I was ecstatic when I found circus at the age 20. I could mix all my favourite parts of gymnastics, dance and acting into one. At first it was playful fun on aerial hoop and silks and then I became determined to learn more and applied for NCCA. Performing is what I am passionate about! I love the creation, working with other performers and showing an audience what we have work so hard on. It’s exhilarating.
