Sarah Visser is a vibrant and versatile Canadian circus artist known for her commanding aerial work, theatrical expressiveness, and magnetic stage presence. Based in Edmonton, Alberta, she is an aerial generalist specializing in dance trapeze and aerial silks, with broad experience across aerial hoop, contortion, fire eating, swinging trapeze, straps, and duo aerial arts.
With a background in competitive gymnastics and over a decade of movement training, Sarah brings powerful physicality, refined technique, and bold character work to every performance. She thrives in ensemble and show-driven environments, performing with precision and bright stage energy whether in the air, on the ground, or as part of a large-scale production.
Career highlights include performing aerial hoop and contortion aboard the P&O Iona cruise ship with Creativiva and Anystage Creative (2025), headlining her solo dance trapeze act under the Spiegeltent in Firefly Theatre & Circus's Great, Great Spiegel Spectacular, and performing four shows a day at the 2024 Calgary Stampede in Le Cirque De La Nuit's Starslingers. She has also performed at TED Vancouver, and the Stollery Children's Hospital Foundation Gala.
Sarah trained at École de cirque de Québec (2017–2020) and completed advanced development with world-renowned swinging trapeze coach Victor Fomine at École Léotard in Montreal. She is a recipient of grants from Canada Council for the Arts, En Piste, and Edmonton Arts Council.
