Samar Ezzat is a contemporary dancer and dance instructor, master degree in Hispanic Literary Translation 2011, and graduated from Cairo Contemporary Dance Center (CCDC), full time program, on 2015.
Co Founder of Unuk Dance Collective, a multidisciplinary group based in Cairo, that was launched on February 2022.
She was introduced on 2006 to contemporary dance through independent workshops by instructors and choreographers from different countries, started her Capoeira practice since 2013 and participated in different classes and workshops in Egypt and abroad refining technical and performative aspects of contemporary dance.
On November 2016, Ezzat started to explore aerial dance, especially aerial silks through an intensive workshop in Ireland and started to teach dance in the same year.
Ezzat participated as a dancer in performances that were presented among festivals and events in Egypt and abroad and during 2020 through online platforms.
She started to choreograph her own work since 2021, and premiered a self choreographed solo on Feb this year during the launching event of Unuk Dance Collective.
Her main focus is to find an approach to acro-dance through martial arts and aerial dancefollowing the organic movement of the body.
