Samantha Dean

amantha is an aerialist and dancer with international performanace experience who loves connecting to her audience and telling stories through movement. She builds a lasting relationship with her audience through emotion, color, and attitude, plus a healthy dose of hairography.

Samantha’s love of performing began early on in her childhood while training in every form of dance she could find. Between technique classes and competitions, she realized that her true passion was performance and storytelling. In 2015, she first discovered aerial hoop, thinking it would be a fun way to keep in shape while dealing with the daily grind of life in Washington, DC.  Aerial became a much bigger part of her life over the llast five years, though, as she trained throughout the United States and Europe and performed in stage shows, immersive theatre productions, nightclubs, corporate events, and private celebrations.

Samantha strives to combine the silent storytelling abilities from her dance background with the thrills and movement of aerial hoop. Her performance highlights include SpaceX, DC Art All Night, Fidget Feet Aerial Dance, Capital Pride, and World of Dance. She was a regular company member of TBD Immersive where she showcased her aerial skills as part of immersive theatre productions and cabaret shows. She returned to the DC area in 2022 after spending three years in Germany in 2019 where she spun her way into a new circus community all around Europe.
