Rosita has a long background in the Performing Arts in Circus, Music and Dance. She graduated in Auckland with a Diploma in Musical Theatre from Apollo Theatre School.
After attending an aerial class and going to see a Contemporary Circus show in Auckland she was inspired to move to Australia for an audition and in 2012 graduated from the National Institute of Circus Arts in Melbourne with a Diploma in Circus Arts.
Encouraged to audition for École Nationale de Cirque, Rosita traveled to Montreal Canada in 2014 to specialise in Aerial Rope and Cyr Wheel.
The following day after graduation in 2017 Rosita stepped straight into a Cirque du Soleil contract playing the lead character Lolita in a show called STONE.
Leading on from there, she spent the next few years performing and touring the world with Cirque Éloize on both Cirkopolis and Saloon.
Over the years she has performed in many events, functions and shows, including TV commercials around the world, and many special events which also included the 2015 Cirque de Soleil Pan Am Games Opening Ceremony as an aerialist and acrobat.
As of 2020 Rosita was on contract with Cirque du Soleil’s touring show TOTEM.
Rosita loves the traveling performing life but she is also a kiwi girl at heart. Whenever she has a free moment, she will always take the opportunity to travel back to New Zealand to train and perform and connect with the performing arts industry of Aotearoa. She loves to share her passion and always hopes to inspire others to pursue their dreams, however challenging it may be.
