Born and raised in New York City, Rachel grew up dancing at the School of American Ballet and the Paul Taylor School, but always dreamed of circus. In 2012, after working in NYC as a professional dancer for several years, Rachel discovered cyr wheel - the perfect melding of dance and acrobatics - at the National Circus School of Montreal. While at the National School, she also trained in banquine, duo trapeze, and aerial hoop.
After graduation in 2015, Rachel spent the summer performing a street show, La Belle et ses Bichons, at festivals in Quebec, Switzerland, Germany, and France before returning to Montreal to participate in the creation of the new Cirque du Soleil show, Luzia. She went on to tour the United States and Canada with Luzia from 2015 to 2017 performing both cyr wheel as well as pole dance.
Rachel is now a freelance artist based in France and has joined Cie. Puéril Péril in creating their new evening-length show, which will premiere September 2018.
She also studied anthropology at Columbia University from 2006-2009 and hopes to someday return and continue her studies.
