Rachel Barringer

Rachel is a circus artist specializing in contortion, aerial hoop, corde lisse, aerial silks, aerial straps, and multicordes. She also performs duo hoop and loops with Caroline Wright. Rachel Barringer's lithe movement quality is tempered by an elegant sense of poise that radiates from her center, charming audiences with her fusion of nimble flexibility with powerhouse strength. Recently Rachel completed a contract performing aerial hoop and contortion with Shanghai Circus in Branson, Missouri. She has also gone on tour with the Boston Circus Guild in collaboration with the band Cordis. She has performed with Santa's Circus, Cirque de Light, Nimble Arts, and more. Rachel coaches aerials and contortion at Esh Circus Arts in Somerville, Commonwealth Circus Center in Jamaica Plain, and Eastern Acrobatics and Circus in Natick, MA.
