Pepe Jardim

Pepe Jardim start developing his zany shenanigans at the age of 14 , native of São Paulo , he grow up at one of most famous Brazilian contemporary circus , “Circo Spacial”, touring his country several times. Then he took his sketches far, for nearly 20 years Pepe had the privilege of performing in Brazil, Mexico, the United States, Canada and the Middle East; in big companies like Cirque Dreams, Cirque Polynesia, Circo Alegria Brothers and Ferrari World. His artistic training includes Performing Arts by Paulista Arts Academy, in addition to having doubled with the Russian clown Maks Annaev (participant of the Festival of Figueres in 2013). In 2015 he was encouraged by the secretariat of the city of São Paulo to create a mask solo led by American director David Poznanter.Thought the years Pepe developed a style of physical comedy of its own, with elements of traditional Brazilian clowning, American slapstick and big influence from Soviet clowns. In 2018 Pepe took the Silver in the 1st Cirque International Festival of Brazil Contest, also participated at International Festival Best Clowns in the World in Saint Petersburg Russia, and soon received the the Special Prize of National Circus of Ukraine at International Festival of Circ Elefant d'Or.
