Ottavio is a writer, director, choreographer, stunt coordinator, and co-author of the award-winning travelogue-memoir “The Grand Gypsy.” He is a sixth-generation circus performer and a two-time Guinness World Records holder.
He began his professional career as a dancer, singer, and actor in the musical “A Chorus Line” at the Sahara Hotel in Las Vegas, and has since appeared in over twenty-five productions on the Strip, including principal roles alongside Michael Crawford, David Cassidy, and Tommy Tune.
Ottavio was an original cast member of the Broadway musical “Saturday Night Fever” and served as Fight Captain for the first international company of “Elton John & Tim Rice’s Aida” in the Netherlands. His television credits include “The Billboard Music Awards,” “Penn & Teller’s Sin City Spectacular,” the “Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade,” and “The Tonight Show,” among others.
Ottavio’s stunt coordinating and choreography credits include: “Spider-Man Live!” at Radio City Music Hall and on the Equity National Tour; “Pippin” at Goodspeed Opera House and on the Equity National Tour; “Britney Spears Circus” (tour video); serving as Resident Director and Choreographer for “Omnium Circus” at the New Victory Theater on 42nd Street in Times Square; and “Pure Nerve Wracking” and “Disco Fever” at Krystallpalast Varieté Theater in Leipzig, Germany. Currently, Ottavio travels the world performing death-defying crossbow stunts with his wife, Naomi, as MR. & MRS. G.
