Ori Quesada is an acrobat and teaching artist born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. He began training and performing at 7 years old under Master Lu Yi and Teacher Xia Ke Min in traditional Chinese Acrobatics at the San Francisco School of Circus Arts (now Circus Center). He grew up training and performing a multitude of different acrobatic acts beginning as a flyer for group pyramids and acrobatic acts and later performing hoop diving, chinese pole, meteor bowls, hat juggling, and acrobatic jump rope. At 16 he began specializing in a Rola Bola Kick Bowls solo act, which he still performs today. Spanning over 25 years, Ori has had the privilege to perform with Troupe Vertigo, Sweet Can, Circus Bella, Circus Nonsense, the Santa Rosa Symphony, in the first Chicago Contemporary Circus Festival, with the Los Angeles Opera, and most recently in The Rainbow is Enuf. Along with his career as a professional circus performer and earning BA in Community Studies from UC Santa Cruz, he has taught, directed and choreographed around the country including with Circus Smirkus in Vermont and People’s Circus Theater in San Francisco.
