My name is Michaela Stará, dancer and performer, studying at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (AMU) at the nonverbal theatre department – mime, physical theatre, acting and acrobatics. Currently doing Exchange program at DOCH - dance department Stockholm, Sweden. Before studying I have been mainly street dancer, but later on I got intrested in combining various dance genres and theatre work to create my personal and original style. For example Mime with Popping dance and Vogue dance elements with circus techniques. I created a lot of short solo acts which I have been performing at different international festivals and cooperating with other theatre genres, like opera or drama. I have created big solo project called Imelda directed by Radim Vizváry, under the Mime Prague production.
