Aerial Artist | Certified Aerial Arts Instructor | Performer
Melina Chasikou discovered her passion for harmonic movement at an early age, winning her first dance award at just five years old. She trained extensively in ballet, contemporary, and hip-hop, before gaining access to aerial arts in Cyprus in 2014. As the first Cypriot Hair Hanger, Melina combines strength, elegance, and expressive freedom in her performances. Her repertoire includes Aerial Silks, Aerial Lyra (hoop), Aerial Cube, and Aerial Moon, and she continually explores new apparatuses and techniques.
Her teaching philosophy centers on technical precision, enabling students to safely explore personal expression and emotional storytelling in the air. Her students have consistently achieved top placements in international aerial competitions in Greece (2023, 2024) and Cyprus (2024). In 2024, she also served as an Aerial Championship Judge in Greece.
