Meika Rogers

I’m an 18-year-old circus and dance performer and coach with a love for upbeat, character-driven acts. I’ve trained and competed Chinese Carpet Spinning at the Australian Circus Festival and Lyra in Miss Lyra Australia, making it through to nationals. I grew up backstage and performing at my mum's dance studio, and I fell in love with circus at 11, which quickly became my passion. A lot of my acts draw from different cultures and styles; I love building characters and atmospheres inspired by French and Italian performance traditions. It’s a fun way to blend character work with a bit of my own background.

I’m currently training my dachshund cross, Taco, to be part of a future circus act. He’s learned a surprising amount in a short time, and building an act with him has been a fun mix of problem-solving, timing, and creativity. It’s something unique, I’m excited to keep developing alongside my solo work.
