Live What You Love Longer.
For more than 20 years, Mayumi Yamamoto has worked as a Certified Athletic Trainer, including more than a decade in Performance Medicine with Cirque du Soleil.
Through years of working alongside professional performers, her role and perspective have evolved beyond taking care of injuries.
A successful production asks a lot from its performers — physically and mentally, day after day, show after show. Supporting them sustainably isn't only about what happens when someone gets hurt. It is also about creating practical body-care strategies that can become part of the everyday performance environment.
Mayumi's work focuses on developing and sharing sustainable body-care approaches that performers can understand, use, and adapt for themselves — from preparation and recovery to managing the accumulated demands of repeated performance.
Her approach draws on athletic training while integrating movement, nervous system regulation, lymphatic flow, fascia, body awareness, recovery, and load management.
Her vision extends beyond the individual performer.
By supporting performers to better care for the bodies they depend on, and by helping productions develop a culture where sustainable body care is part of the process, she aims to contribute to healthier performers, stronger casts, and successful productions that can continue bringing their best to the stage.
So performers can keep doing what they love.
Productions can keep sharing work they're proud of.
And together, they can keep creating the WOW.
