Marta Garcia Cardellach.
Photographer graduated in Humanities Degree and Postgraduate Degree in Participatory and Therapeutic Photography. Specializing in performing arts photography, particularly with the circus world, she has been working with companies, artists and festivals in Catalonia and France since 2012, and publishes in the medias like Zirkolika Circus Magazine and european newspapers.
She has been exhibiting on the circus world since 2011 in showrooms, galleries and performing arts festivals. In 2015, she held a street hotography exhibition in Santiago de Chile, about pictures of Chilean circus artists, living in Europe for the Ministry of culture.
She has trained in the field of photography and the management of cultural projects in the Centro del Patrimonio Fotográfico de Santiago de Chile, in the Association of the Catalan Circus Professionals and at the Center d'Art et la Photographie de Lectoure in France.
She has worked with the Photographic Social Vision Foundation as a community manager for the World Press Photo in Barcelona and the DOCfield documentary photography festival. She has also conducted photography workshops for children in Germany and Sweden, where she has been working on social inclusion projects for refugees people since 2013. In this area, she studies the possibilities of photography as a pedagogical tool and participatory. In 2017 he creates the photographic educational group "Construim Mirades", with which they carries out an educational project for museums, cultural spaces and educational centers.
Since 2019, she develop participatory photography projects with the aim of opening up the process of creation to communities of different territories. In the same year she was awarded for the Lacetània Arts and Culture Awards (Òmnium Bages-Moianès), for his dedication to the circus world, for his omnipresence in many circus shows and projects, and his modern and spontaneous vision of contemporary circus.
