Cincinnati aerial artist and professional ballroom dancer Malaki Woodward competed as a Level 10 gymnast before transitioning to circus arts. She has trained with Circus Smirkus and for the last Decade, has focused on aerial silk under the tutelage of Jessica Jay and ballroom dance with lifts with coaches Marianne Nicole, Eric Luna and Georgia Ambarian.
Malaki Performed aerial silk, stilt-walking, and dance in the Childern"s Theater of Cincinnati's production of "Aladdin" and went on to work for the Cincinnati Circus Company in different roles in Cincinnati Circus Shows, performing aerial silk, low rig trapeze, clowning, hand balancing, fire fans, fire lyra, tight rope, and cradle flyer.
As owner and teacher at Fire and Ice Aerial arts in Dayton, Ohio, Malaki produces two student showcase events each year.
In 2022 Malaki won the Keystone award at the san Diego circus festival for her aerial silk performance.
Also currently working on adding partner "hand to hand" to my skill set
