Magdalena Cieślak (1992) POLAND
Singer, mezzo-soprano
Student of Academy of Music in Lodz at the faculty of Singing and Acting. She has graduated with honours from the Music School in Lodz in the vocals class.
She has begun her adventure with music in Maciej Pawlowski's Musical School in The V6 Theatre of Lodz (2010-2012). She has performed in "The Wizard of Ozz" – Aunt Em/Linda, "Grease!" - Mrs Lynch and "The Dance of the Vampires".
She debuted on the stage of The Nowy Theatre of Lodz performing Tekla in Roman Czubaty's "The Blue Castle". With The V6 Theatre she performed in outdoor acrobatic show "Imibala" during XVI International Festival of Nature Films in Lodz singing the parts of a Shaman and in dance-acrobatic show "Ciao Italia!". She performed as Zobeide in Carl Maria von Weber's "Abu Hassan". In 2017 she performed as Athamas in the Polish premiere of the Handle's opera "Semele" in the Great Theatre of Lodz. In 2019 she performed in the title role of Offenbach's operetta "The Grand Duchess of Gerolstein" in The Musical Theatre in Lodz.
Since 2013 she has been her cooperation with the Mixed Chorous of Lodz Philharmonic (Penderecki's "St. Luke Passion", Beethoven's "9th Symphony d-minor op.125", Mahler's "3rd Symphony d-minor, Mendelssohn's "Ellijah op. 40", Szostak's "Missa latina"). She took part in "The Colour of Poland Festival" (Kolory Polski) and the session "Musica Moderna".
She has also created various original projects: opera show "That's an Opera! Mozart and Pergolesi's Masterpieces in One Act" (2015), concerts "X Sacred Words" (2014), "The Lamentation of the Mother of Human" (2017), “Opera Coloured by Film (2018), "From Opera to Broadway" (2019).
She participated in master's courses and vocal workshops conducted by Renate Weninger (Austria), Richard Halton (United Kingdom), Tina Lloyd Meals (USA), Stefania Toczyska, Agnieszka Rehlis and Eugeniusz Sąsiadek (Poland).
