Lydia is currently a Chicago based circus performer specializing in aerial hoop; incorporating nature’s elements, mystical hand-crafted costuming, and storytelling into captivating performance pieces. A recent graduate from Aloft Circus Arts Professional Training Program, she has trained in aerial hoop, silks, solo and partner acrobatics, dance, and theater.
Lydia has choreographed and performed with Aloft Circus Arts, Asheville Aerial Arts, Empyrean Arts, and Flying Catastrophe Circus. She also makes time to create her own work including "All My Dandelion Wishes," a circus show about childhood, climate change and hope. As a woman living in extremes, her wardrobe is composed of velvet, glitter, flannel, and double-layer canvas in order to dance through the world as a circus artist with a B.S. in Forestry.
